INTRODUCTORY TASTER SESSION
This Food Safety and Hygiene training course is designed to introduce the basic principles of food safety and hygiene to anyone who is a beginner and interested in cooking food.
The course will help you understand more about the importance of good food preparation. You will learn about training and cooking practices such as keeping yourself and your work area clean and hygienic.
Basic face to face training course lasts approx. 2-3 hours, depending on the requirements. There is no test paper.
INTRODUCTORY LEVEL GUIDE TO FOOD SAFETY
This Food Safety and Hygiene training course is designed to introduce the basic principles of food safety and hygiene to anyone who is a beginner interested in cooking of food.
The course will help you understand more about the importance of good food preparation. You will learn about training and cooking practices such as
keeping yourself and your work area clean and hygienic, how food becomes contaminated and steps to reduce this. You will also learn how foodborne; pest and physical contamination pose serious health risks and the controls to reduce these risks.
Half day face to face training course.
10 Question test.
The CIEH pass rate is 7 out of 10.
FOUNDATION LEVEL GUIDE TO FOOD SAFETY
This Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Food Safety is designed for anyone working in a food business. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to prepare and cook food that is safe for consumption.
This course reinforces the importance of food safety and provides learners with an understanding of how to identify and control food safety hazards in their own workplace. Suitable for anyone who handles or prepares food or is involved in the management of such people in a catering environment. This includes hotels, restaurants, takeaways, cafes, bars, fast food outlets, kitchens, hospitals, prisons, schools and colleges.
Full day training course, (can be split into separate training periods). 20 Question test. The CIEH pass rate is 14 out of 20.
